(if promethious is watching, THANKS FOR THE NEAT CONCEPTART.FORUM TUTORIAL!)

allot of other people thought this was like ALEINS meets the Ugly duckling, beyond being open for interperetation, its a contorted "nephilim" witch is the offspring of angel and mortal.. nephilim are a mistake tho.. and are usually deformed.. hence why there is 1 wing busting through the chest of this one.

opinion: black lines with line weight? keep em or leave them?
i think they are distrating from this pic..

note: 13th hour is a symbol of the end of the world.

Looks really cool, I don't think the lines are distracting, just add to the overall piece and give it a specific style. The colors show a little Bengal influence Smile

wow thats a really difficult angle---i dunno...im thinking that he should scrap the lines---it just seems like it'd look a lot better and he could be more free with this piece without them...one thing...i know its not finished but the hair looks a bit flat...just might wanna keep that in mind...i like it though..either way

I'm a fan of biblical/mystical concepts(I'm not religious, however), so I love this piece.

Wow, nice drama...O_O Very dynamic pose!
Hmm... about the lines... they are both good accents and slightly distracting from the main read, because they are they are the darkest part of the image... that might change as you keep going but maybe try tinting them slightly? Knock the lines back where they move away from the focal point, like the chestal area. Er, torso. Many illustrators who use a linear style with color washes or rendering don't use a full black. A traditional alternative is a sepia-brown, dark but not as powerful as black. If you like lines in your work, try looking at some art deco and art nouveau artists like Mucha (http://www.artrenewal.com/asp/database/art.asp?aid=598&page=5). Good work![/url]
