I have been without a pen for my tablet (Wacom Graphire) for a long time now, and was considering buying a new pen or possibly replacing the whole tablet, and I was wondering if Aiptek was any good. They are considerably cheaper ($90 for a 6x8, and $150 for a 12x9) than Wacoms, but they require batteries. Anyone have experience with Aiptek tablets that could enlighten me as to what I should do. Thanks much. |

i have the huge-ass aiptek. its actually pretty good, and the batteries take like 8 months to drain so they're not a big problem. If you're going to cheap then buy the aiptek. _________________ aliensamurai.deviantart.com |

Well....Thanks fer the replies. I've heard both sides now...unfortunately only one argument from each side puts me back to square one. But if I had to decide between a Graphire 2, a new pen for my old Graphire, or an Aiptek 12x9, which should I go for? I would try for an Intuos 4x5, but I just don't have the money. |

A replacement pen is 30 dollars here. I guess that isn't too bad. I just didn't want to have to order anything because Best Buy sells Aiptek tablets and there is one right by my house. I try to avoid internet transactions when possible, but I guess since I've read a few former posts and people aren't exactly praising Aiptek, I'll just go with the replacement stylus and if I want to I'll just buy an Aiptek later. Thanks to those who replied. |
