Farley13 - Great tips there, thank you. Smile
I had to try it out immediately when I saw your post.
Sharper in the highlights on this picture.

Spooge - The Tao Feng is super amazing.
I was wondering how do you achieve a FOV distortion?
Is it some rule for Field of View distortions?

have a nice weekend everyone
Matthew

I just try to put colours, without worrying about shapes or anything else. Well, I just tried to make an emotional picture instead of my typical "thought" ones.
I tried to reflect how I feel right now: tightly tied, and feeling my wings as if they were made of bricks, with this urge to shout but not being able to do it...

Well, forget it, it is just my first try with something a bit more visceral and abstract.

not exactly a speed painting - but i feel its not important enough to warrant its own thread - 4 hrs (including concept sketches) using Freehand

...damn, I can't draw faces from that angle.

...but I was drawing ALL day today, so I have an excuse for zee lameness. I was tired.

Oh, yah. This was today's DSG (EU). Fashion from the future. I think the future looks like the 80s.

Another try in the way to simplification and colour:

SOCAR: I like your drawing style, and yes, I agree: I hope *all* the future is like the 80's (music, fashion, tv, comics,cinema...).

So I may answer the hardcorepixx...

hardcore, they varied quite a bit, but as they are a little more specific than I would like they took a lot longer than usual. I would say plan, sketch, wait for review, finish, two weeks. But the whole project dragged out over a year. My fault mostly. I usually have about 3 jobs going at once.

I like your drawing, very bill s. I think I have to put my nuts in a vise and do some comic work if I am ever going to get the mileage it takes to draw well. But getting good enough to even get a comic gig seems beyond me.

edit, socar I like your drawings, I bet that some of this will seep back into your paintings and you will like it.
