My mom has been letting me live on the sofa for a while
and buying me booze cuz I have no job,
and she really likes birds so I did this for her.
about 3 hours work with a mouse in photo shop 5.5.
please let me know what you think cuz I'm new, plus I
would like to know if there's anything wrong with it, cuz I'd
fix it.

I think she should be really pleased with that. One thing, you could probably give the branch more texture and detail. It's great though  |

| i love the area on the tail, the play of the light and shadow falling against the feathers.. beautiful work. i cant say anything negative about it! your mom will be delighted. |

not much to crit ~~~
but I think you could add more detail at the claw !!

pixelkitten/shin- yep your right I did use a photo ref. Although I'm not a big fan on relying on photos, for this type of subject matter it's the best thing to do.
I fixed up the feet alittle and gave it to my mom, she really liked it and it won me a bottle of vodka, HOORAY.
anyway, thanks for everyone's help. here's the old picture that it's replacing from my mom's bkg wallpaper.
comments welcomed, but I doubt I'll go back into it.
