These are wonderful! There are some really original and interesting characters here. Although the blue guy with horns on his head is a little too much like Darth Maul. Anyway..great stuff. Keep it coming!!

if you are still looking a job, work only so hard as you can..
your works are by not so high quality that you could get a good job easily .. so you need to "trim" your style much more untill the world want to have you, hehe
try finish your works, it is much worth .. just make them better in whole time
where are your best works? _________________ out |

What kind of job are you looking for? Perhaps that would help people giving critique.
Have you begun coloring your stuff recently? I ask because I notice strong and confident linework, but shaky colouring.
I'd say work more with colors or do not use them at all. (regarding the job application)
I myself have relatively recently begun colouring my stuff, and now I have reached a point where I need to go back to basic drawing technique to catch up. 'Cause I suck at regular drawing, especially humans. Weird how things work, hehe. Perhaps you need to put aside the linework and focus more on pure colour and value. All the while not FORGETTING or loosing the felling with the linework, ofcourse.......
Edit: Oh and a "please" helps too 'round these parts, if you wan't answers that is........
My 50 cents (it's your birthday)

you artwork is great, but it all looks a bit unfinished,. i am not a great artist, nor do i hire them,. but i have read a lot from those who work in the field,.
this copied from <a href="http://www.diterlizzi.com/support/about_art.shtml">Tony D's website<a/>
Less is more
Id rather see 10 amazing pieces of art than 15 with some mediocre images in them. Professional illustration jobs almost always involve intense deadlines, and multiple input from the clients creative team. With that kind of stress in mind, your submission portfolio is not always judged by the best piece (that you could have labored over for months and months), but by your weakest piece (what the client could possibly get as an end result). Make it look like everything you do is golden.
As for adding sketches to your portfolio, its a mixed bag: Some Art Directors like to see sketches, so they can see your thinking process, others may confuse them for finished pieces. If you really want to include them, your best bet is to do so as a separate section from your finished work. |

Dude, just finish those up and aply to george lucas. That stuff has star wars written all over em.
any way, i like ur stuff, but they do look unfinished. I say go in and fine tune everything...though a pic thast looks abstracty and painty is good, i think it would be beter if u included one that looks photo realistic (4 ur portfolio) _________________ -Chase |

You have alot of talent and a very strong and cool style!
I can say you will get a job
maybe at disney if you polish your techniq.
Here is my advice.
Well first is your coloring, some lines have color over them, other do not.
Either all lines should be colored or no lines should be colored.
You also have white spots in the images...Dont have small white spots, it looks
like you have thrown the colors up in a rush.
Then there are some small lines here and there crossing eachother, this also does
not look so good.
Another thing, is the lack och shades.
Adding a darker version of the colors here and there.
Also some lines are abit jagged. Try to make them smoother.
And dont rush the backgrounds as much as you do. |
