thanks, n8.
go here to find out http://forums.sijun.com/viewtopic.php?t=32099
and do a paintover while you're there! haha.
seriously thhough, it's a conceptart.org-based thing that meets every day on IRC and gets a random topic out of a list of pre-submitted ideas. Then have an hour and a half to concept/draw/paint/post.
nice exercise.

Mr. Smith... That top one looks like a portrait of Ron Jeremy (sp). When I was in the film biz, I worked on one hard core film. Jeremy was in the cast. Never could figure out why such a hairy, unattractive guy got so big in the porn film biz... He must simply be a really nice guy... no joke.

I dibbled little over an hour in OpenCanvas and Photosbop.
I just practised on clouds but got carried away. Im not satisfied with the result. Something is wrong, but hey its just a speedpainting Smile

take care.

Another cloud speedpainting.
This time i tried a more realistic look than my previous.
Tips are grateful, i think im a little to afraid of using contrasts.
Done in Opencanvas.

insane - use harder brushes. Don't be afraid to use a little dodge/burn with flames, or else paint in an overlay or color dodge layer. Can work wonders.

Cross post from monsters thread.

This is my first real attempt at speed painting. I like the idea, it's quite fun.

This piece took about 40 minutes to complete.

keredleung - maybe somthing naturalistic - like the Nurburgring (sp?) with easy curves Wink

Arround an hour and a half, pretty happy, criticism and comments welcomed. His form does not quite seem solid . .
