Hey
I have some new pictures and have also made a new site on my new domain. The same info about the pics can be found on my site. This site is gonna be an entering too the Random musings web-site contest.
Thank you.
Pictures:
I made this girl more as a loosely sketch, reference was used for her and I also borrowed some of the skin color from the picture.
I usually dont use reference but will definetely start to use it more.
This is the first picture that I have worked on for a very long time. It was painted over a loose sketch and the work period was about 2 weeks, I didnt work on it all the time so I dontknow how many hours that was spent on it, I also had the flu the 2nd week when I made it.
I tried to achieve some Quake influenced texture on the armour.
A budgie I made with my wacom, still trying to get a hang of that pencil. I think it turned out pretty good, reference was used for this one.
This one was also made with my wacom and I think that the bird in the middle is too big. Some other problems too but I kind of like the picture anyway, must be the smoke in the background....
I made this one for Siegewar too, dunno if we are using it thou, maybe.
Also, check out my new web-site one the adress:
http://www.lensflares.net
And as always Comments and critiques and also, Im sorry if I have stepped on anybodys toes with making crits in your Threads.
Matthew

Hey, I see you improved again!
First pic: Quite good but try to use brushes with sharper edges.
3rd 4th: like them very much! The hills are too flat but the pic shows atmosphere.
Your site is much better then your old one.
The navigation is simple! |

Hey Max, thank you.
youre right about the brushes and the hills, but that is some killer budgie, isnt it.
Im glad that my site is better, I tried to make it as easy as possible. I like those easy navigated sites. It totally rock with an own domain.
cool double-A, thank you.
Im not gonna make a background for the bird, mainly concentrated on the bird, it kind of looked cool that way so I stayed with it.
thank you

OK now you're really improving. I wasn't expecting the budgie and final pic, I'm impressed. I think you should check the shapes of the various body parts and how they compare to your reference on the first one though - try to picture them not as a leg or whatever, but as a shape... e.g. 'an elongated triangle sort of shape' - know what i mean? for starters her torso is too long.
great improvement though! |

Thank you gezstar
Oh yeah, the torso is very long.
Elongated triangle for the legs, never thought of that, cool, thank you.
I have actually bought myself several muscle magazines cause I am still a bit confused when it comes to muscles, but the magazines really help.
thanks again everyone who has replied.
