I just bought a Graphire2. In the store I noticed some Wacom Volitos, which I hadn't heard of before, but which seem to be equal to the Graphire2s except for the pen having only one button and no eraser.
I haven't used my Graphire2 yet, and I've never spent much time with a tablet, so I don't know if I would actually use the eraser and the one extra button. I talked to a girl I know who uses a Wacom tablet, and she said she didn't use any buttons at all. Right now I could exchange my Graphire2 for a Volito, which is less than half as expensive, but I don't know if that's a good idea.
My question for all Wacom users is:
Do you use your eraser? And, since the buttons are programmable, do you use both buttons and if so, what do you use them for?
Any help is appreciated.

I use the eraser quite a bit...perhaps because I suck, and the buttons-the lower one I have as an undo and the upper button I have set as my brush size modifier. _________________ Put a muzzle on her Turkish, before she gets bit. You don't wanna get bit, do you boy? |

The two buttons are pretty handy for me, since I've all but abandoned my mouse for the pen. The lower button is for right-clicking and the upper for double-clicking, and since they're under my thumb, they're pretty easy to execute. I don't use the eraser, though. Flipping the stylus over's more trouble than just gliding to the eraser tool, IMHO (and my stylus flew across the room one time I did that ^_^; .
Hope this helps!

I never use the eraser, but I do use the buttons an awful lot.
Desktop: top button, scroll - bottom button, double click.
Photoshop: bottom button Alt (colourpicker) - top button, pop-up menu:
You can configure the pop-up menu via the Wacom control panel and it puts everything within easy reach. _________________ www.itchy-animation.co.uk

I only use the lower one, with the alt modifier to bring up the eyedropper while using the brush tool. |
