What does everyone think of it? I didn't download the first ("Breathing") as I heard it wasn't the greatest, and I thought I'd try for my 'movie virginity' again (saw Episode One without seeing an ad, preview, stills from the movie, etc. Rather proud of it @;-)

Sif Boba Fett doesn't rawk my haus.

I thought it looked pretty good. I despised the Phantom Menace with a passion, hopefully this will bring back the good ole' Star Wars magic.

Yawn. (trailer spoilers ahead)

I was really disappointed. CG Yoda looked good, but I was struck by how "computer-y" the new water city and the scene with Boba looked. Even the space scene with what looked like the new Slave I was shot from a boring, dead-on angle. I know it's early yet, but I felt no sense of awe whatsoever. The Harry Potter trailer, on the other hand, was surprisingly entertaining...

I think Lucas should've passed the torch.
And let someone else direct his screenplays
and writing.

I love Star Wars but I also feel like
Episode 1 a little too wimpy.

When Phantom Menace came out I was excited.
And then it was just like
"That was cool but it wasn't Star Wars."
thats just how I felt.

As far as the new trailer....it's boring.

I kinda liked it ("I came here to rescue you." - "Good job."), but I don't really have high hopes for the movie at this point. The alien designs are shitty and it looks like they recycled a lot of unused material from Episode 1. And that Hayden Christensen guy seems pretty stiff. But it should be okay.

Speaking of bad CG in the big leagues... anyone see the new E.T. trailer? poor E.T.

I know what you mean. My hopes are still on The Lord of the Rings movies in blowing Star Wars to bits

i think what sucks the most about the new star wars is the fact that the title is attack of the clones...what was lucas smoking when he thought that super creative title up?

oh and i totally agree with poprocksz...ep.1 was cool and all but it just wasnt star wars...and i dont know about this new CG yoda...sure it looks good but im going to miss the "reality" of the old puppet.

hmm...I agree with everything said about ep.1, but regarding the title of ep.2; My good friend and long time star wars freak consoled my angers about the new title when he told me about Lucas' facination with old 50'ish style movies (the ones with the colorful and dramatic posters) that had similar titles. i.e. "Mutants from Space!" or "Attack of the 50 foot Woman!" etc. Lucas apparently adapted this style for his film titles...take "Return of the Jedi"...not too extravagant there...we are just so used to hearing it, that it seems commonplace, despite the fact that it is pretty boring. But whatever...Lucas pisses me off because of how money hungry he has become, resulting in his loss of what should be his real goals, to make a great movie sequel.
-Matt
p.s. I think the "Breathe" trailer was wicked..it told you nothing, but it still had something that really drew me in and made me want to see it, which is the obvious goal of the trailer.

I must say I was more impressed with the "Forbidden Love" trailer that played at before Harry Potter (which I didn't quite like). It just seemed way more Star Wars than EP1, I liked the action shots, as well as the acting... much better than that in EP1. I guess time will only tell.

My main thing is seeing who Christofer Walken plays.

I saw this fan fake trailer where he apeared, I just want to make sure you do not mistake something in this case. If You know more than I tell me please!

The only bit i liked was the scenes with Boba Fett The rest looked a bit..uh..clean and slick and not too Starwars in my opinion. I want more dirt and rust, damnit!

I really did'nt like Episode 1 much. I actually fell asleep when i watched it in NY for the first time..

Well, I'm working on the comic adaptation right now... so I've seen 90% of the movie in stills form, and read the script, and in a word, it's... awesome. Trust in the Flanneled One, he really delivers in this movie.
Good dialogue, good plot, cool characters, and awesome fight scenes...
This is NOT Phantom Menace, it's written for a more "mature" audience, and the guys in the Lucasfilm trenches are really proud and excited to be able to pull off such a strong episode, after Phantom Menace disappointed so many. I didn't bother to see PM for a week after it was released, after reading the script. I can't WAIT to see Attack of the Clones, though.

Good job Red Leader, as you were. Everyone’s entitled to his or her opinion. Mine is that TPM was different from the others, but not sleep material. Micke, were you jetlagged or drunk when you watched it in NY? Teaser trailers were decent, each trying a different angle for different target audiences: action, love story, plot etc. Lucas is smart, passionate and runs the show his way; I don’t think he’s lost sight of his original motivation. This is a traditional (and maybe predictable) ripping good yarn that has originality on its side. I’m glad he’s still in control, what would you like, Ep II to be produced by Leonard Nimoy, Quentin Tarantino or how about Woody Allen? Just pray that Lucas doesn’t put out another Ewok Adventure: aka Caravan of Courage.

Scott, he's getting soft on his older days is't he. Gladiator is cool n' all, but the ending......please >:\?!?!

I have to agree with Golongria on the titling though. The Phantom Menace doesn't sound too crappy now I think, I hated it when it first appeared though. I already like Attack Of The Clones, hehe. Ahh the clone wars......

I'm looking very much forward to this one, romance combined with the first shimmers of evil, opefully, hehe.
