A remake of my original Niamh 3 years earlier http://www.fantasy-anime.org/newcg1/v2-1.htm
This is BY FAR the fastest picture I have ever done!!!! Less then a Week!!
I tried a new technique on this that cut the time by a fraction, granted it wont work on all my work but for the simple pictures like this its fantastic.
What I did was draw the outline in Photoshop first (as usual) then I printed the outline (initially to show a friend) then penciled in ALL the shadows basically doing it all in pencil first, scanned it, sized it, then used the smudge tool (no spacing) to blend it all together and used multiple color layers to create the color. The color layers were set to color @ 100% opacity.
Naturally some of it was painted with photoshop the some way it has always been done.
Id be interested in knowing if the technique has a name.

Reference used for 80% of the pose only, my original Niamh was used as reference for the rest.
****NOTE: Her shirt is NOT leather, thats why it doesnt shine..... also, the background was just an afterthought, still managed to work though:) _________________ Kevin Moore
