The funny adventurers, hehe! I wanted them even more in the distance and it was supposed to look foggy. I wanted the snake thingie detailed.
I know it looks weird like that. I wasn't planning on posting it (same goes for this spooge demon inspired picture) but I don't want to reply here without posting an image too often.

Prometheus, like yours!

the last tank i think for the next time ... well, i took about twice as long as for the last one(around75Minutes instead of 30-45) but im far not as happy with the result.

PS: all 4 tanks without references

wanted to play with drew technique in PS. Very fast, he is a smart illustrator. looks contrasty here. But that's good for posters.

ref used was random pic from some awful movie with pepsi boy here as a knight Crying or Very sad

Edit, I forgot I posted that pirate thing yesterday.

Duracel, I am looking into the mail problem. I will remove those links one day, they have been broken for a while.

Eyewoo, that is exactly on the money, very wise. Goes for shapes and values as well.

thanks mon. What is Parnassos? Allusions beyond 70's TV commercials go right over my head.

Tom Carter, what I meant was that the image is something I have done before, or something very similar, in PS. So if I just change the software, maybe it will eliminate the "art" side of the problem, so I know it is my ignorance of the software, not ignorance of the subject or drawing. That is what I was commenting on, I can't separate the two. The painting is the software, pardon the philosophical drip.

Spooge - ah yes - I understand, and Eyewoo - I went back and looked out my own processes for doing things; I too found that you are very correct; Photoshop is (to me) a very streamlined application for obtaining the results I want. Back when I did editorial / content illustration, I found myself using PS even though I had Illustrator and Painter at my disposal; using the latter was often cumbersome, because in PS I knew where everything was and what I culd use it for (as a result I was a times the butt of jokes from my peers).

Comparetively speaking, when I start up Painter, and I find myself constantly misguided by the difference in keystrokes commands; when compared to PS the PTR UI is very, very intimidating - everything is so spread out; it's like someone just gave me a complete studio with almost every tool in existence (crap - where's the white prismacolor for highlighting?).

My comments are in no way disparraging to PTR, because I have done some cool stuff with it, and I do like it. I suppose I need to spend more tme with it.

spooge : what a superb colorbleeding you achieved there Very Happy I tried WC lately, but i do not dare to post it here, as i hate the results. It is so difficult to make the pigment go where you want it to go. Hard times to adapt to the diffuse flow and to make it a useful property to paint with it.
