Oops, I wrote in the wrong window. The originally reply was for jr's thread about Spooge.

Anyways, THIS thread is supposed to be about my latest photography session: "Killing of Thy Beloved."

Here are some from the session.

This is my first time using studio equipment for a session. I had No idea what I was doing. Hopefully the next session will be better.

Qualms:

The blade is too small for what it's supposed to be, if it's really for killing someone. It looks too much like a paring knife to be really threatening.

You can see the photographer's (your) reflection in the blade in the third picture.

I realize that the lighting must be fairly new, but, your pictures with lots of negative space, like your fifth and sixth, should be as dark as the first. The brightness is really distracting, and you lose most of the contrast in the picture.

Great stuff, though I like the last one, without the knife, best.
A suggestion: maybe a more tender pose, where she holds the knife like a flower or an unusual artifact, inspecting it, studying it, looking at her reflection in it, lost in thought... the intended victim isn't arrived yet so she doesn't need to grip it so tightly, she's contemplating murder but looking peaceful, so it seems she could be more than a little crazy too...

I like the size and look of that knife, it goes with the girl. You could easily kill someone with a blade half that size, if you can keep your cool and do it properly.

Well, I kinda have shots similar to that, but not quite. Here's more from the same studio session:
