hey guys, I'm not nearly as good as most of you, and for that reason I've come here for advice C+C style. This is my first try at a picture like this (no outline, painty/pseudo realistic feel. so I guess it can only get better from here. Wherever here is. Anyhow, any comments at all are apreciated, any good comments, bad comments, constructive comments. You know.

hi. i'd say try to get more colours into your skin - because it looks to me like at the moment, the skin areas are composed of lighter and darker variants on the same colour. shadows tend to go colder and light areas warmer - unless you have some coloured lighting going on. as for the hair, obviously this is partly a stylistic decision, but you don't have to paint every single strand - look at a photo or mirror to see how you can represent it in a picture. on the plus side, though, i think you've managed to capture a mischievous facial expression pretty well. |
