I've just completed a commision for AEG on their Legend of the Five Rings line.
Here's one of the cards:
You can view the others here:

I'm looking forward to hearing your suggestions on how to improve these!

awsome. Thing that bothers me though is the way the tower is falling apart, it doesn't look right, possibly too many rocks on the oppsitite side of the creature are missing thus it looks a little off as you'd think more rocks would bulge out first and be latched down by rocks on top, until those tumble down the other side. I dunno hard to explain what I mean, but I guess you can get the idea. Nice work though. _________________ http://jcaart.cjb.net |

cool work.
just one thing: the color of the monster is too saturated, oe the bg is less saturated. - just doesn't fit perfectly.
keep it up |

I see your point. I sampled the image, at it's most saturated it's about 75%-80%, and at it's least (the far, far background) its around 15% saturation.
I think there's a disconnect between how something looks on screen (RGB) and how it looks printed (CMYK), printed images tend to look darker and less saturated. For example, Craig Mullins gorgeous digital work tends to look really, really dark printed. A particular example is the Myth II cover he did. It looks much richer on his website.
This is one of the things that makes illustration for print so difficult. _________________ tldenmark

hmmm. Hate to directly link a Craig Mullins next to one of my paltry attempts...
you can go to goodbrush.com, choose printed images, it's in the printed 1 section, bottom right.
Or just go to the Bungee website and look up Myth II. _________________ tldenmark
