Hey Hamster... very impressive... I loved listening to it...
Did you play all the instruments?
For 12 years I was a professional location sound recorder for the film industry, plus I had my own 16 track studio primarily for mixing film sound tracks... This was in the 70's and early 80's. I put togther a number of my own pieces which were created primarily using sound effects I'd gathered here and there from around the world. I've got many of them into the MP3 format now and available on my site. If you get a chance, check them out: http://www.eyewoo.com/ndx_audio.html
Again, really enjoyed your piece... _________________ HonePie.com

Eyewoo: Thanks for listening, glad you liked it! =)
as for the song:
sorry bout the big ass image, but I want it to still be somewhat readable, and I work at 1200x1600 with everything made smaller...
Detache.jpg
That's the layout of it in my freeware software of choice, Buzz Tracker. The Blue squares represent Generators that put out sound, the green ones represent Effects. the funny colored ones are either. The big blue jeskola XS-1 is what I use to sequence strings and pianos. The piano is a soundfont(basically a collection of wav files with some extra stuff) I downloaded off the net. uhh, the grey one beside it is just a standard Buzz synth.
whee
The Piano was 60% hand played(60% because I played it about 40% slower =P heheh...then had to correct my atrocious playing), the rest was just jotted down by hand.
I think I've checked out your stuff like a year ago! I don't remember though, but that description you just wrote sounds awfully familar... |

Very nice improvement! Especially from around 4:40 and on, I really dug the way the piano basswalk added to the arrangement. What were the chords that you pounced to end the piece? It had a very retro classical feel to it.
BTW, how's the music coming along for my film? |

Max: Yay!!!!!!
Luna: Well, as you can see...I have a new computer in working order...was giving me a lot of crap...had to format twice, and constantly fix and do other things....send back some parts, get differen't ones.......but now it works...so yay!
what used to take 100% cpu power now takes meerly 20%!
so, soon you'll get to hear some Debussy-esque sounds - possibly not exactly fitting the movie - but music none-the-less. =) |

wrong, shizzy: he didn't sell them the domain. on a domain you have to make payments every month, or year, or 6 months depending on how you have it arranged. as he was getting out the payment to pay for the domain one month, the Fruity Loops sight noticed just how much of a competetor Buzz really was and did the asshole/instinctual/good business move thing and bough the domain before Oskari could. so now he has http://www.jeskola.net |

Neat: Even after being offline for a week or so, I return and my shitty post is still on the front page and more suprisingly at the top.
Thanks, Awetopsy. =)
I have a new song, a guitar driven taco-fest of epic porpoise. In a few days the package containing the new dsl router, being shipped low-priority UPS ground from fucking Oregon to California will arrive. Till then; You're all safe from my musical spam, stupid and unwanted posts.
Caio.

Giant Hamster this is very nice. I kind of got that Apocalyptica feeling in the beginning, with the violins. Have you heard em?
Pleace make a song with distorted violins that would totally rock, you are very good.
have you used Fasttracker anything?
have a nice day

Hey, Sorry for the double post.
Thought you maybe wanted to hear one of my songs but it cant be compared with your great song. Its made with fruityloops.
Also posted in Shizos Garbage Listen Thread.

BrainWarsh: YAY! I'm workin' on more, just gotta get the new dsl...then you shall have more epic poop.
Matt: Yeah, I used to use Fast Tracker pre 1996. Before that, EasyTracker(4 channels, crashed every 10 minutes, and a shitty-ass interface. yeah, baybee!) I now use Buzz Tracker - ph34r it. Fruity Loops is fun too, I messed around with it a lot about 3 summers ago. |
