Great thread guys! Keep up the nice work. Here is what I can add in to help out. Hope to steal some time later to do some quick new stuff, very inspired by your work John.
This first one is per the request form Soak....here you go. The final is in the book as a fold out and since it switched to jets instead of props...I can't very well post it here. So this is one of the earlier versions of that piece.
This a crop of a much larger piece from the book. Not a plane, but it does have props!
Here is another of the same airship series, also from the book.

Novacaptain,
Thanks for the order, very much appreciated.
Capt.
Thanks, same feeling on this side of the pond.
Sparth,
Join in, everything you do is so great, would love to see a "Sparth special" prop-driven bot!
Here is old one that I spent a couple of minutes doing a paintover on. Nothing special, but keeps the prop thread moving.

This thread is AWESOME!! Please don't let it die, I can't wait to see more! Everyone's propellers look just great
My most recent favs are Geckos' blue and pink one and I really like Flush's pic of the plane, it's kind of a rear view with a guy maintencing it.
I can't wait to get in on this thread! keep up the good work, guys!

reporting in, General Flushgarden.
I like the storytelling effort in all these beyond what you would normally see in plane paintings.
I don't want to do anymore images like this, if I can avoid it, which I can't.

Janne: Cool I love your and gecko's Snow themes you got going sometimes. Must be the weather up here haha
Francis: Greatlookin! I have to paint something like that too!
Merystic: cool can't wait to se stuff rom ya!
Spoogie!: that is so...good, looks like it's 3 AM and the frost is laying on the ground. beautiful! |
