i tried to do something inspired by the new lord of the rings, this time based on a photo for some actual results.
the reference photo is not mine.

very well done.
little crit: I think the sky and the water are too bright and at some areas it's a bit blurry.
But, couh,.....hmm,...if was half as good..man..

Nice result. And a good way to show, how to use reference in an effective way.
