oki guys, im gonna die Embarassed
First time i saw those post i said to myself " heheheh finally someone who can talk to craig mulin and say ' hey baby, want to duel me?' " ... I was kinda happy... but i saw you ARE craig mulin...okidoki Very Happy you really don't have any challenger for now, and your work is still so inspiring. Amazing colors, composition and brush skill. Where is my wacom? looks like im going to talk with it.

Oh last thing, looks like you are changing a little your painting approach. Its very interresting! It becomes more and more " abstracT" and this is probably the most interresting part of those AMAZING pieces of art.

Kepp up the godly work

They almost have that warcraftIII / Blizzard Entertainment look and feel to them. I do really love the texture.. especially on the armor on some of them. It gives this gritty feeling.

Amazing. I'm trying to figure out what these are for. Surely it's not concept art for LOTR:TTT and ROTK? Or is it.. hmmm..... Wink On second glance.. they really scream World of Warcraft cinematic concept art. If so.. I can't wait!!

I am puffed up!!!! really impressive. I like the way in which you make these works, lighting is great... especially number 7, very inspiring!!
Like Lunatique, I am astonished by the control to these so high resolutions. that must be the sun of Hawaii haha

Nevertheless it is a super sequence of images here, and it has achieved its goal, to dazzle us Wink))Craig, please, go more gently to the next post, we cannot resist this Combo. hehe i'm kidding, again, again...

As i said a few days ago, you're a real magician.

Clap, Clap. Clap

bye

ps: my favorites are #6 #7

Inspiring stuff, spooge...

h_06 is without doubt my favourite of these, amazing how you handle those colors... which i always find you do well with a bright palette.

Are these original size?

The jig is up. These are obviously from Julia Robert's new movie, My Best Friend's Wedding 2: Attack of the Goblins.

Well, great work, but its not the painting(s) itself is touching me most.
Its the whole Person "CraigMullins - SpoogeDemon" behind those work ... if "you" are posting a Speedpainting in the post next to mine, if you take "max kulichs"-Pirate as a thumbnail for your one, thats the magic to me. Smile

PS: Do you have any art from time where you was 21(your hp says youre 38 )? Perhaps i got new hope then. Wink
Well, for sure, im motivated .. and i can say, there already is a bit of your style in my work.
Hope to meet you sometime in RealLife in my future. Wink

I really like these paintings, ubt i thought that we should atleast attempt to critique them heh. Something that bothered me about h06 is the way that one of the blades is really grainy and full of texture, while the right one is smoothand photoshopey, kind of detracts from the image since it is dead center. Are these paintings some bizzare (but good) adaptations of Arthurian legend (like with uh, orcs instead of mordred and his army)? Again, breathe taking!

Something is really off in the pic with the old man with morningstar and the guy running his sword through that.. creature.. (h_10)

To me it looks like the creature is pasted into the pic.. it's closer to the viewer than the guy.. perhaps it's supposed to be like that but I think it's a bit too much.. like if the sword goes behind the creature or in it's armpit..
I may be wrong.. not really an expert

But you are such a FREAK.. good work =)

by the way spooge, surely you can't have done these exclusively in photoshop? tell me there was a bit of painter in there too!

out of interest, what's your favorite subject-matter? this kind of fantasy, or reality based illustrations?

el spoogo has done again! Should I cut my right hand off right now or wait for the next pictures? I know I will never paint like this in a thousand years! eh eh

Oh.. I propose we start a fan club! We fans could call ourselves "spoogiforms" or "craigorians" or "mullenarians". Guys, pick one and start worshipping! I for one, already am. Wink

Post more, you push me to stay up late until way past my bed time to paint and paint.. even if it is just a futile effort on my part, to chase your unreachable skill level, it's still fun!

What utter rubbish! Where's the dodge and burn?? Where's all the LENSFLARES????? Shocked

... j/k of course!! Laughing

Spooge Demon posts new work!!! (does a happy dance around the PC after a flurry of mouse-clicks to save new paintings to hard disk) HUZZAH!! Absolutely breathtaking as usual. Someone once said that you seem to be able to "paint with light" - how so very true. Well done (as usual) Craig! Your work is a constant source of inspiration and, as someone else pointed out, endless frustration. Sigh.

Curiously, you sounded less than pleased with the pieces. I'd be very interested to hear why and what it is about each piece that you'd have done differently?

Damn nice Spooge. One crit if I may.

In the third picture, the photorealistic background and the sketchy rain strokes aswell as the warriors seem to be a little too far apart when speaking style and expression, I think.

Other than that, vey cool indeed. I'm tempted to say "naturally, ofcourse, as always" and all that, but it wouldn't be fair, if you know what I mean?! One must see each piece as a seperate one and critique them as that aswell.

Five cents

Outstanding work as usual Craig. Smile

I haven't checked em all out yet, so if I find a "major problem" I'll try and offer you a crit.... But, from what I've seen and read that's highly doubtful.

I clicked on the king one first and so far I like it the best. The colors are so rich and vibrent in that piece, really eye catching.

Oh btw, check your e-mail. Wink
