Zuiquan - the Magnacarta character design paintings are some of my favourite images too! I posted to Sijun once asking how to go from line art to painting and this was what I had in mind. I haven't figured it out yet and am still looking for tutorials to achieve that kind of look. Sorta painterly but still with an obvious lineart element to it. Anyone have any links? PLEEEZE?
Also, what happened to Sumaleth's huge page o' links? What's the URL for that? Seem to remember some kickass tutorials on that page but have since lost that URL.
edible snowman - Urm, I think that's the wrong thread you're linking to? That's Light's waste-of-time thread poking fun at eyewoo's tutorial thread.
If you meant to link to Philip's thread, that's http://forums.sijun.com/viewtopic.php?t=30004 |

ohhh my god. The picture of Chelsea completely is beatiful.
Magnacart is now my favorite place, thank you.
I guess they are using some tecnique like painting over the lines and also added watercolor effect or something.
take it easy

Well actually I tried to paint using that style long ago. The best (and quick imho) way to learn is copying. Then you copy, you're getting ideas how and why this or that thing have been completed. But don't copy like a machine!

I actually didnt know about the Magnacarta until you displayed it in here.
I was so inspired that I also tried to achieve something like that.
The finished picture is in the Gallery finished work.
But I post it in here too.
Picture:
have a nice day
