Just pencil. HARD pencil, at that. I don't even have the original anymore. It looks a lot messier than the one you're looking at. The reason why it's so dark is my scanner's pretty crappy... Everything comes out really light. I take most of my sketches into PS and up the curve levels to make them easier to see. I really like the darkness it brings out, however.
