you know something? I've never participated in a speed painting thread. This is the first. So here's a bunch of quick stuff using the lasso.

sail off the world

morning forest

star gazing

pink battle scene

These are the last of the 'cartoon' paintings. I've decided I want to learn to paint more realistically like Oblagon and Meatsack. Then I can get as 'unrealistic' as I want.

spooge do you really think anyones actually gonna complain about the eyes, look at the damn thing lovely.
love the way you fill these pictures with so many different textures, something i need to work on in my pictures.
and the eyes give a nice focal point anyway, although white eyes might of worked also

Isric, for some reason your pics remember me of a very old (and good) computer game called Out of This World. Ever played it?

Very cool stuff. *right-click -- save as*

Thanks Vyle and Spooge Demon. This thread is the best; talk about inspiration.

Last in the series. These are getting worse but I had to get something on this page.

Oblagon: I just love the last one.. at first glance I thought it looked like a squid. Great stuff! Love the colors. I didn't quite like that canvas looking texture you put on in the previous ones but in the last one it looks pretty good. Keep 'em coming!

ooh ooh I have! I remember running from that shadow beast and jumping onto the vine at the edge of a cliff so that you swung out of its reach as it leapt after you, then swung back to the empty clifftop.

Isric: Wow, great works there! How do you get such sharp outlines on your brushstrokes?

Spooge: That creature up there reminds me of this screencapture from Doom3. Nice, as usual.
