took 45 mins-1 hour to do in photoshop with a wacom- was copied from a photo and obviously no tracing was used...

not quite up to everyone elses' standard but hopefully with some more pics under my belt, I might speed up a bit and get better

Oblogon- I just tried out Photogenic yesterday, and I was disappointed. In fact, I've tried most of the alternatives to the Photoshop/Painter combo, but nothing's impressed too much yet. with the exception of Satori FilmFX. That baby is FAST, but the editing cools and the UI just bugged me. I haven't tried gimp, since it doesn't run on windows.

I'll give Art Gem a twirl and see if it bites or not.

Tonite's waste of time.

Hamlet (about 10 min):

The speech behind him is the "Alas, poor Yorick" Speech from Hamlet.

Hey all, this is actually my first post here and my first attempt at the whole digital paint thing. The first one is...a bird of some sort that took like 40 minutes, the second is a landscape that took about 30 minutes.

pixelsoldier > thanks. about the _insertrandomwordhere, __uLtiM4t3_1337_Stu|=|=_th4t_iz
..uh..no, in fact, as a concept designer, i often had to insert plain text on my pics to describe what was going on. after a while it became a habit to put words on everything...so basically, it's just a way to 'add' sense and to get closer to what i want to represent but not able to draw... about style i dunno...it just seems 'empty' without the _stuff_
