Its a good minimal black and white picture overall. I like how it uses so much white (black in this case) space but retains the impression you were trying to get across. particularly like the thin strokes you used for the forehead creases over the right eye and the nose.
I think there's a little too much white drawn into the upper eyelid of the right eye though, gets a little too cluttered there. |

Thanks for the comments and crits. Took it into consideration and redid it a bit. Hopefully it looks a little bit better out there.
Anyway, can anyone offer suggestions or ideas on how to make the picture look... angrier? I was planning on just scribbling in the background but that didnt turn out too well. Thanks in advance. |

other than adding small quantities of red, which might offset your palette, all I can think of is empathsizing the slant of the eyes a bit more with the area around the eyes. you could especially elongate the eyebrows, particularly the left one.
I just noticed his nose isn't entirely centered between the eyes an the angle of light shining on it doesn't seem completely accurate for the position. maybe move it a bit to the left of the image.
Hopefully someone with my experience can give you better feedback though, just thought I'd add my bit for the new version |
