If we knew that then we'd all be rich. The real answer is lots of hard work, practice, experience. You name it, it is needed to be a great artist. You need some talent (which I think you have) and from there you just gotta work your butt off.
You seem to have grasped the basics of painting, so hang around here and you'll be sure to learn a lot more. It all takes time.
Have fun! |

I also would say you have talent.
I really like them.
Especially the eyes of the girl in the first one
and the whole look in the last.
With a mouse...that's good, very good.
Check out some tutorials at:

I'm sure they will help you.
Keep it up Stone 4 heart

Talking bout talent ...
personally, from my point of view, i think, talent only makes up 20% of all your leet skills. the rest is hard work.
I think those with talent just has an inborn something nature gave them, so they dont have to practise as hard as the others without talent, but they still need practise...
its like this ... (ok dont laugh now .. =p)
theres a square, a triangle and a circle.
Guy #1 was born with talent ... and he already knows how to draw a square from the day he was born. but he still needs to learn how to draw a triangle and a circle.
But since he already knows how to draw a square, a triangle and a circle aint that hard plus hes got that confidence to drive him forward. "shits man, i know how to draw a square ... a triangle aint THAT hard."
Guy#2 was born without talent ... so he needs to learn how to draw all three shapes from scratch. Unless hes really driven, he might give up halfway drawing the square ... (so he kinda like draws two lines, and stops ... which makes it more like a 90 degree angle shape thing)
Ive known people who has that bit of talent, but gives up WAY too easily. They see others draw better than them, and they think "shits ... i cant do that." and they give up. and ive also seen people with too much EGO ... "draw a circle ? ... thats Toooo easy man ... i can do that ... i'ev never done that before, but i know i can do that. i'll try it some other time"
Anyway what im saying is that, you've already got the base ... work on it. keep working on it .. like Ian Jones said, its a lot of practise.
Keep working and dont get disheartened...
to prevent myself from talking too much. i will stop now....
good luck, and do post something new in the coming weeks or earlier =] ... would love to see more. |
