This is my first full-color endeavor, so bare with me. I wanted to start out with something easy. It was originally a still-life apple thingie... but I tossed that idea.

| I like the middle of the pic... and the blue background is nice... i just want the brown branches to be more sharp and not so smeared. as detailed as the green and black outlines.. also a little more texture on the red part (too much blur) |

Thanks for the tips. I have to admit that I'm not too in love with the basic idea of this image. It may be wise for me to simply dismiss it and incorporate what I learn into my next piece. Trial and error, right?
You're right about the branches. Big time. I don't like how I placed them to begin with. Maybe I'll plow through them and start with a clean slate when I find some time.
