| Dammit, I've gone into that CHINAgirl thread and this "Japanes" girl thread, and I've been had both times. What exactly about this girl is Japanese? cuz I sure as hell can't spot it. |

Well, I'm not sure that She is japanese too ...
I'd named her so, cuz it's my first anime artwork, and I didn't want to copy original anime style!

she does have a bit of asian too her, but I'd think it would be more of a aisan and non asian more then straight japanese.
I kind of like it actually. Very stylized. Somewhat akin to the anime cross with simpsons comment from above. |

I'll be damned if that's japanese. Could've called it something else...
Oh well better luck next time, the style i agree is somewhat like a cross between anime and simpsons. I dont know if you were trying to achieve that style or not.
*shudders*
Sorry to say it doesnt resemble any JGirl i know. |

That doesn't look like any anime style I've seen, and there's probably a good reason why
anyways don't just draw someone with big eyes and slap Japanese on top, it generates negative conception towards anime |

For a photoshop and mouse only work I think this was a hell of a timetaking job!
Anyway you gave it a try and it is not that bad.
But if you try to make anime art try to scan your paper artwork somewhere and color it.
So you will get nice curved lines, and will give better results. |
