Just something that I'm working up for folio. It's a character concept image, I was trying to get some more dramatic lighting onto the ink sketch - I may have overdone it?

That's a nice one. The shadowing doesn't feel *totally* accurate and I think you'd do well to introduce some spooge-like bounce lighting, but you've already got a nice result. |

Sumaleth,
thanks for the crit, I take the point on the shadows, but you lost me on "spooge-like bounce lighting"???
Any chance you can clarify what you mean, or post an example pic to point out how I might use it?
Thanks, A. |

I just love that style, it's something I'm trying to achieve in my own work.
Overall I think the lighting works well, but maybe parts of the hair would be a little darker too. |

Lookin really good A! great action and lighting, has a nice drama to it. It's a little hard to make out in areas tho, more solid back lighting might help it more.
Post the original bw linework for this if you still have it, would love to see it! |

something about the stride strikes me as the coolest thing in this piece (even though her right leg looks a little off pose-wise i think - bend her right knee alot more?). the fact that she's landing all that weight onto that poor foot in the high heel no wonder she's permanently pissed and eyes glowing ah yes i also enjoy the lighting intensely!
