hey there. I've been experimenting with things trying to get them prepped for the short film I'm startin'. It's a zipped AVI file. (click the pic to initiate mister download)

Anyway, i am pretty happy with how it turned out. You'll notice that the snowball in his hand is somehow too smooth, and that some of the particles have completely different looks to them. That was for testing purpose and will not look like that in the final film.

enjoy!

What no fun music with this test. I am so sad . Well done background, though I don't like the shape of the trees. Another thing that I noticed is when you switch from 2D to 3D the characters seem less dynamic some how, just an observation.

Hey, Synj.
Well the version I downloaded is a little compressy, but I like it. The snow on the ground is very convincing to me. The style is consistent. The ONLY thing I'd remark on negatively is the hills in the BG. They're a little contrasty.

Great job. Hey, are you using 3D Max now?

too busy to throw in music, mister basement bound :/ hmmm i dunno, i enjoy how they are animated better in 3D. not in this particular test, but overall. the trees i'm experimenting with as well because of your comment. so far though I haven't found anything I enjoy more.

aliasmoze - hey buddy! yeah, i'm using max. not diggin the hills? doh! that one took me a while to figure out too haha

thanks icannon i just used bones for the scarf if you're referring to the animation for it. box modelling if you mean how i went and built it.

Cute! Nice smooth movements.

I'd like a premier ticket once the movie comes out

I was wondering, how did u go about making the snow and it leave footprints in it? I looks really good. And as a max uses, it would be interesting to me.

I think those are a huge improvement, perhaps a bit fuller.....um maybe not. I like their shape, I just wonder if they will fit in. They are lookig more real, then stlyized (like the pervious ones). Awsome work man.
