Cool, the drawing is excellent. I think the coloring is a little too complicated and cluttered for the drawing though. The lighter colors, such as the skin and light green trim on his suit, are a little too washed out, and the shading, especially on his boots, is too blotchy and scattered. Define a lightsource and stick with it. You seemed to shade sporadically in some areas. Don't be afraid to use hard highlights and shadows when they're necessary. Not everything can be rendered with gradual transitions from light to dark. Think about where light would hit and where it wouldn't. Break the parts down into basic shapes, and think of which planes would be struck by light and which ones wouldn't. Simplify, don't noodle. |
