I've had a bit of C&C elsehwere but I usually find I get more useful C&C here so yeah go for it. I know its not perfect but I am liking it.
Looks like Squaresoft art almost..... which is my aim. |

alright, well I was thinking:
lots of nice design elements in your character, like the wing-shaped thing on his helmet, and his helmet itself is pretty cool
the thing that bothers me the most is his facial expression, and I don't want to make any suggestion on how to change it because I know you have your own style of drawing and I respect that, but anyways, to me he looks like he is scared and/or nervous about something, like something heavy is going to fall down on his head. In terms of anatomy...well there are lots of little things but I wouldn't annoy you with comments on that
I'm thinking since he is called the hammer child why not give him a bigger and more powerful hammer, with some engravings on it or something.
Hope that was helpful |

ahhh yes well I am not an expert on anatomy at all....... I just fake it mostly. I'm just an occasional artist (hobby). But this time I was happy with the results, so happy I am doing more of the same thing.
Being stylised is my excuse for certain things in the pic. But yes..... the hammer needs some more detail and yes its not anatomically correct. I'd like to know the other things you noticed though. I haven't heard a thing about anatomy problems besides that face.
Umm. That face, not much detail cause frankly I have a real bad patience with smal smal detail. Trying to learn to show the important detail without so many lines ......still learning. |

His pose is akward, the way he is about to fall over on one side.
Symetry is the key here: too many uneven stuff on him, like his shoes, where one is bigger than the other, and they don't even land at the same level. One of his glove appears shorter than the other, same with his pants, the shape and the length are different, and the edge of the lower part of his shirt has uneven thickness, and it looks weird.
was this done with mouse? |

Was coloured with mouse (photoshop) drawn with pencil and ink which I am still to master.
Yeah thanks those last pointers are the ones I am looking out for. Once I get a WACOM hopefully all these problems will be "corrected" a lot easier.
Thanks fate you've been a good help. |
