This one won in the Teen arts in New jersey

Only 4 other works paintings,prints,sculptures... etc got the highest prize and mine was one of them

This is a bit outdated now, but I still like the look of it btw this was printed poster size. Right now this is a year old.

the title is "Grim Realties"

i'll give you the courtesy of this bump and open my mouth...

your image up top is confusing to me. there is no direction. the conrast is high and the eyes are all fighting for attemption as they are purely white. The image may be better with some more geometry in it. what i mean is, a structure behind it. study professional photography and be creative but always think about composition.

i won't comment on the anatomy since they aren't human, but some of the shapes don't look defined. draw your shadows as shapes and use edges to integrate them. if you're a teen, this will come in time, but look for them. then again, no one cares how old you are, regardless we'd all like to see great art from a baby to an old man.

the planet looks like a different style than the green men. try to render uniformly to give the piece unity.

i'm out of breath.

take it all into account when you do your next piece this summer or whenever...

congratulations on the award, but don't dwell on compliments or you may be "this good" all your life.

I like your points and I understand them. Yet Some I do not fully understand... my point was to make the "grim Realties" one with no direction(twisted no real sense of reality) and the eyes were done specficly for what you mentioned. I understand what you mean and in no way am i stoping right now with just these few works lol i will get tons better I am only in the brink of my full talent not to be smug but I have loads of time to increase and pratice.

all my pices were done first by color penciles scaned into the PC used the colors i laid down on the paper as the only color to use for the works.

I also painted that first one in oil. It looks slighty better than this one but this is my computer sketch.

Thanks
