Henrik, your artistic abilities and talent blows me away. I like this one and the other landscape with the big hole and the stone wall you got on your page the best.
Youre surely one of the absolute best artists Ive seen.

OK, having said that I have to say that Im a bit affraid of my future, if not even YOU get a job...hopefully the reason is really that you are TOO good already and people think youre too expensive and stuff OR it is what Ive found here !

Good Luck!

I've never seen any arwork, digital or traditional, that even comes close to the level of realism of some of the pictures on your site. If you can't get a job, the rest of the world is hopeless.

Pretty fucking sweet Henrik! Only the shadows to the left and right side are too dark - seems like you concentrated on the center after the initial layout.

I used to scale up my initial sketches too, but found it too much work to get rid of all the artifacts - seems like twice the work then ...

Hi Henrik,

I like the new pad, it relates to the eye level better. Consider your lens- the form of the pods is round in plan, so use that ellipse for all it is worth. It looks like the pods were drawn with a longer lens than the mountain.

Keep in mind the depth also. The left pod is farther back, should be smaller. Also it is lower, more open ellipse. Try to disguise the stamp a little more. The section revealed by the join to the mountain is identical in both.

I want to feel that cliff receding more, so the mountain on the far left should be handled so that it looks farther away. Right now all aspects are identical to the right mountain. Always keep the plan view of what is going on in the front of your mind

Might want to diffuse the cast shadows more as the distance from the edge creating it increases. This can be very effective on the lower right as the cast shadow edges can blend into one another.

If you are locked into this aspect ratio, maybe point your camera down somewhat so you get more middle ground- this way you can make the differences between near and far work for you more. If you can, crop the top, maybe too much sky?

Keep in your mind also the source of the light in the shadows. In the receding cliff, the light reflecting form the lit side of the mountain would fall off going to frame right, as it is farther from the source of light. So as it goes to the right, the diffuse sky light would gradually take over from the reflected light.

You can introduce a little warmth into the lit side rock colors. Not much though.

The scale of the pods looks small. They look like product designs because of the scale of the flaking paint and a little bit because of the scale of the join lines. These are really big and complex objects, so they would have a lot more surface variation, both in material and color and value. But REALLY subtle, or you have another problem
