Oh yes, I like the top one the most. It's gorgeous. The others are great, too, but the first one gets to me more.

Very beautiful.

awesome stuff... i like the second one.. Its like a blend of the first one and second one together =)... My only comment is on the pose... Why are all three pics in the same pose?? was it pre determined?? If not why didnt you play around or change the pose ? or maybe you did that before hand and needed to only pick colour???? anywho good work...

Very nice but ummm... Are there any other poses? Remarkable how you got almost the exact same poses in all three pics (first one just flipped opposite). Is that pose just more comfortable for you? Just curious. But yeah, very nice. first one is very pretty. She got a sister?

vebjorn,
I have seen a lot of your work over the years,
and you are soooo talented....but,you need to work on a woman anatomy a little more. I don't
know why so many people are telling you they are perfect, they are not...but they could be!
Your a fantastic artist. But, I promise, if you send these into a publisher,(as they are now), they will be rejected or will never see a "cover".
Don't do it! you will tarnish any relationship
with the publisher! And there is no need to
do that, because you are so talented.
The first illustration is better than the first ones you posted, but her eye's looks like they are "pulled" and her "crotch is too
low.And her left hand is badly out of porportion. The second woman, is badly out of
porportion (her boobs, hand and crotch) and
her face is "messy". The third woman "dido".
Why are you in such a hurry to send these to
a publisher? They are not good. And Your work
in the past has been fantastic!
You are too talented to not know that these
illustrations are not up to your normal great
work. You are the captain of your ship and
will do what you want, but, why post if you won't listen to fair and honest crits?

Agree thoroughly with bigfoot as your artwork is good but clearly not perfect yet.

I choose the first one because of the realism, the stronger lighting, the more accurate anatomy and her gorgeous jaw-line.

I had an artblock. I think they all suck. Nope, I do not care if they are perfect to life. The total image must work in order to get it sold. I doubt any of these will make it because they are all lacking the "kick" in "kickass".
I am on fairly friendly grounds when it comes to the publisher in question. I don`t care what I show her, because she`s seen it all, far worse than this. There`s no problem getting your artwork printed, you just need a foot inside the door, and thats damn hard work. The question is to sell even inferior stuff, since it might tarnish your rep....hohum.

Hmm. I really hope the overly negative roasting from bigfoot didn't influence your decision too much. I tend to disagree with bigfoot's attitude toward the pieces you had displayed here.

I would never be so stupid as to say they were perfect, as even the best piece has room for improvement.

However, saying they are 'not good' and not of a professional standard is simply incorrect. There are many successful professionals who cannot produce this level of quality.

Perhaps you weren't happy with them or didn't feel they would do you justice in a professional light, and that is your choice to make, but do not underrate those pieces, please. I'm sure an artist of your experience knows not all criticism is necessarily constructive.

Take heart, I don't think this was a failure, quite the opposite. Oh, and I've looked in detail at every bit of art on your site, noted the progression of your style and methods, so I'm not making these comments blind. The pieces you had here could have sat next to your best work comfortably. I love seeing your own unique style grow, this is just another step in it's development.

-Ben

I kind of agree with Bigfoot. These are (or were) definitely not bad at all. They're much better than anything I could ever do. But they seem to lack the polish and flair of your usual work. They just seemed a little wonkier and muddier, lacking the movement and life of what I've seen you do before. Maybe it was the colors, maybe it was just a tough pose, I don't know, but I do think these could be a little looser and rougher, just to give them a little more life.
