I realise that it's been some time since I last posted here... Because of this, I'll toss up three paintings just because =)

Forest Shadows (drawn before my shoulders gave up on me):

Silly Pinup (very quick image done for a pinup thread in EbonyKeep):

Vamp (yeah, yeah... somewhat quick vampire picture for another thread in EK):

Well... enjoy. Have fun. *waves and sneaks off*

Wow, Enayla! These are terrific! Forest Shadows is definitely my favourite, because of the smoothness in her skin, the warm and cool shades on her face, the depth of field blurring in the trees, the list goes on. Scores my vote as wallpaper of the month!

As for crits, I think the back of the neck of the woman in the third pick needs a revision. It's too soft and doesn't show any signs of neck muscles. I think that a cleft for the spine should be visible, too.

Trying to find words..

The first one is great but something's missing. can't quite put my finger on it yet. I'll get back at it if you're interested in pocket money

The pinup (#2) is AMAZING ! I love it ! striking. Altho that's quite unusual to see some black outlines on your work, right ?
Definately not an everyday pose you'd see for a guy, and I like it. Nice change from stiff beefy marines !

As for Miss Vamp, that blood looks mighty red... (yes I've been bleeding a lot)

You've been drawing too much or what ? Maybe it's due to your working station. I found that having the desk too high or too low litteraly busted my wrists. Consequently my back :/ Good thing I did something to change that and now everything's great. Get well soon !

Beautiful paintings, Linda. I really love the depth and focus you're experimenting with in the first painting. It gives it an interesting cinematic effect.

The FG leafs and their "ghosts" add an ooze of dark fairytale to the first picture. Very untangible effect, and a good one! Details in the face are incredible well rendered, and the background forest feels misty and mystic enough for five lost kingdoms.
Only crit is, if it indeed is a female as Highfive indicates, I'd say she's got a masculine jaw.

Just out of curiosity, this wasn't by any chance you?

enyala these are gorgeous, I was wondering, do you use reference for all your drawings? or can you come up with all that facial/anatomical detail off the top of your head, because I've been trying to do stuff off my imagination, and it just dosnt come off as easily as it did BEFORE I started learning art...

Thanks everyone =)

I do use reference occasionally. For the vampire picture, I had a photo taken off my own hand, but it had all the wrong lighting on it - so I was really mostly looking at my own hand. The face wasn't referenced, or her mouth wouldn't be so skewed... The Forest picture isn't referenced at all. Neither is the pinup - I doubt I'd ever find a guy in a pose like that. Hahah. *giggle*

As for the photo with the beaked gal... oh yes, that IS indeed yours truly. You can temporarily find a ton of other pictures of the same costume atteeheee if you're interested =)

My favorite is the first one . I really like his face and lighting. Although, I'd prefer it with out the blurry shadows of leaves infront. I see what they're there for, but I think the drawing would be better in general without them.

The second one is...unique, but very good. On that last one, my favorite part is the hand .

I think you have way too much fun with your webcam Enyala.

I'll never be able to paint like you do, but I'll surely never stop trying. Please make sure to continue posting. So much fun!
