Here is what i did in school today, it is obviously not finished, the rosted bread thing needs more work, the colors are not quite right, the contrasts are not enough, and i need to do the cast shadow
i will finish that next week and do the rock and the other thing below
the goal of the exercise was to learn how to paint textures in gouache.
im starting to really like gouache

i don't like wowing, but wow- that's pretty damn good.. i tried some gouache painting myself so i can appreciate the level of detail and realism you acheived here. the color variations on that lump of dirt is ace. what's the size of the original painting?
care to share some technique tips? |

thanxs everyone
the size of the square you can see is about 30cm*30cm
There will be another object in top of that, some wood piece, the assigment was a composition of different textures in a 30*40cm rectangle.
Lukias : teachers never tell us that we are friggen good, cause we are not. But for now I have good grades in this class.
But when you see the works of some students in the higher classes (its a school in 4 years and im in the first one) it is really astonishing
technique ... first im starting, and struggling with it, and i might have problems to find all the english words ...
you can ask things, i will answer if i can ...
toaster, merci
h bien oui je suis rentr a cohl, d'ailleurs c'est l qu'on fait a, dans le cours d'tude documentaire.
