Hi, guys, i've been on the forum a couple of month now, and keep looking at art to get ideas, and try and guess how yas work
I've found that when i went to draw an image thats too complicated, it looks a mess, so i've painted an Elephant , it was fairly rushed, but mainly a colouring exercise. I've had my wacom since June, and basically havent really bothered with it much...
Please need tips on how to paint WAY better...

Not bad for a first pic, i must say. Much better then mine first one anyway . For tips check the "Basic form drawing lessons" and similar topics. Maybe even "speed painting", there are some nice advice there. |

Thanks for the reply Mr. T, i dont get many replies in here, most people just reply to the people who are really good at Digital Art....
I'll check out the Speed Painting thread (was crashing my comp when i went onto it be4...) seen as my work seems to be similiar |

i like the simplicity of this, and you seem to have a pretty confident hand, which is good. nice job with the proportions, and i like how you got the suggestion of those few bristly elephant hairs with just a couple scribbly lines. that's a detail most people would overlook. good job! |

Cheers Jeffery, Although that picture is fairly rushed, as you can tell from the style, i want to learn how to paint properly. I have the problem with the opacity, i wanted my painting to look similar to that guy who done the James Bond Concept (i'm no where near that good!, you get what i'm pointing too tho) but it turned out wrong... Any help would be handy
Btw, very nice site |
