So this is a gladiator in the future, or something. coloring done in photoshop. Crit and comments would be great. Especially on the background, because i dont do them very often. i think i got the perspective off.

I guess its not very exciting. just a background behind a character design.

Cool character design. As for the background, if you want to have a look at the all-time best rendition of a gladiator's arena, have a look at Gerome's version, http://www.artrenewal.org/museum/g/Gerome_Jean-Leon/page1.html
You could also use sports arenas for reference, or bullfighting arenas.

Steven- thanks. actually I'm probably going to repaint the background, because it has been pointed out that the perspective really doesn't mach the character. and thats a beautiful painting (of a death sport)
