This is only the second pic I've ever posted here, which is also the first pic since I've purchased my Wacom tablet. I'm not really a digital artist, but after seeing Dhabih's and Merekat's work (if you're reading this, I can't thank you enough!), I was heavily inspired to try my hand at it. And, well, I'm having fun, damn it.

Any comments or critiques are welcome here (I've got a thick skin, sock it to me. ).

Thanks for taking a look!

Wow, that's pretty good for your first try. I like the pose, kinda kinky, and the background color contrasts well with her. Sweet.

That's very good for a first. You just need to work on your backgrounds a little more.
Any plans for chun li?

Good proportions and a nice pose. That muscular body is coloured beautifully.

It's an awesome piece of work. I've never seen Cammy as a sexual object though, I'm afraid she'll snap my bones.

Hey, Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. This picture wasn't recieved that well over at digitalart.org. Perhaps my style isn't their forte'.

No plans for Chun-li in the near future, but I'll put her on my to-do list. Any suggestions on how I can improve my work over-all? Straight forward critiques on coloring, lighting, style, technique, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for stopping by.

I love the sexy drawing of cammy, i think you should have gone the same way with the background instead of ruining it with a photo but thats just my opinion. Did I mention great work. Later

I'll be honest and say that I'm not too keen on the background, I'm not sure what kind of bg would be better though. Having said that I like Cammy alot, nice pose and I like the movement in her hair. Two small fixes that may help. Firstly, I think she could use a little more definition on her face (eyes and mouth) and her arm guards. Secondly, I think that she could use more depth everything looks on a similar level of contrast.
For a first go with a tablet it's a real nice piece.

Hey there,

Yeah, I knew some kind of flatulence joke would pop up sooner or later...

Ok, The background... yep, I like the picture better without it. My Father-in-law convinced me to put it in. Perhaps I'll post one later tonight without it.

Errghh, the face! ARRGGGH. Just kidding, you wouldn't believe how many hours I have in that face. Oh well, I'll keep trying.

As for the depth issue, how does one go about creating more depth (seriously) would messing with contrast help? Or should I go back into the picture and add more highlights and shadows?

Thanks again...

Personally I wouldn't mess with the contrast levels. I don't think you need to add more highlights just concentrate on the shadows, just don't make them too strong.
