Pretty nice. You've got some great-looking colour-variation on the face there, and both the hair and the leather jacket have a nice texture.
The hilites on the left side of the face seem to fade off into the background, though. Perhaps, darkening the background will fix that.

Nice one Fig...maybe you can teach cybertoker how to do some "untraced" painting. Yeah he can fool the masses, but not me. This is cool but I think you should sharpen up the edges they look too soft. And around the lips too.

There's something about the chin...I don't know. Looks too pointed or it sticks out too far or something, but other than that, I like it. Keep it up.

What are you talking about, chip_artz? I ain't the one who posted this painting, rbfigueira did. Did you get confused by the fig part? I go by jcFIG, as in Josh Figueroa, not figueira. The person who posted this is totally different from me. As for dogging on Cybertoker, keep that to yourself. I got no bone to pick with him so any derrogatory comments you have about him should be directed to him, not me. Later.

rbfigueira >> sorry about barging into to your topic to clear something up. Every new painting I see from shows improvement. Keep it up, Later.

Crymsonshadows -> Yes, perhaps you are right ! I have modificated that part when I tried to make a new "personality" of this caracter.

Chip_artz and jcFIG -> Ok ! No problem… mistakes happen

I will like that all guys here evaluate this progression stages. Please give me ideas to do better..

Here is some modifications that i have made (on face and on the jacket) :

HEy, rbfigueira. I recommend printing this out and then tracing over it to see whats wrong. I really think the drawing and your drawing skills should be resolved before trying computer work because it REALLY does make a difference. ANyway, as I was saying, print this out and trace over it. Resolve the drawing and do color comps thumbnail size. Your painting looks good but if you want to show a guy in a leather jacket give his face chiseled features to emit that tough guy quality because your guy right now looks like a manly female. The nose is also very womanly as is the jaw structure. Give the facial features hard lines as oppposed to soft airbrushing. Think of the face as planes and put down your lightest lights then your darkest darks then go to to midtones then finally add details. Sorry this is very general but it really all really does start with drawing, shortcuts don't work in digital painting because you have to know what you're doing and be concious of decisions. Sorry for the sermon, you may call me reverend FIG
