I did this when i was 18 and my teacher ripped the piss out of it. I thought you lot might like it better.

Yeah, I'm curious about what the teacher said, too... The only part that bothers me is the little guy he's holding. His anatomy is kind of off (torso is too long, hands are a little distorted, and the knees... oh those knees) but the rest looks amazing. Seriously, there's not much to criticize on the monster guy. I really like it.

I can't remember exactly what he said (this was 6 years ago,) but it wasn't good. It was the culmination of a situation whereby I would approach him with cool comic art, and my own inkings, and then he would tell me how 'derivative' it was and that i should go off and imitate Monet. I was 6 months from completing the course and my grade was 'N' (not graded) so i started copying fine artists and finally got a B.
I have to give him credit though, he did talk alot of sense despite being narrow minded.
