Hey.
After seeing that special on American Dinosaurs last night, I decided to resume my work on the piece with the raptors, you may have seen a lttle while ago.
here's the older version incase you don't remember.
Now the big complaints were mainly that the image was too dark and that the foreground raptor didn't seem to have much deffinition in terms of perspective. I've tried to address that after my little "break". But still, I need to work on applying some kind of texture to the ground and to the trees, I'm also not happy with the roots that I've recently added to the trees.
If anyone would be so good as to comment or give their advice on this, it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

What? Green sk... DAMMIT! I just noticed that! The sky's green because I was tweaking the colors on it a few days back, I completely overlooked that! I need to fix that. Thanks. What do you think of the image overall? |

Hey thanks for replying to my thread, any ways on to yours. All constructive criticism of course; Well first thing I don't know if it's my monitor but the piece looks rather dark. The raptor coming straight at me looks cool but there are a few foreshortening problems with it's head and body. I guess watching Jurassic Park or that special on Discovery channel might help. Oh and maybe the raptor on the right conner, you could move its eye a little bit more to the right so that it looks as if it were looking at us; but that's just me. I like though, have you thought about some light breaking in through the trees?
are you gonna keep on working on this? |

Thanks for the crit. I agree with you that there are some serious lighting issues. I'm working on that right now mainly. The raptor in the foreground, just so you know, is suppose to look like he's picking a fight with the middle one. And the middle one is just about ready to rip his throat out. I should probably change the directions their eyes are looking in to estabolish that better.
Anyway, I hope that this isn't everything you guys have to say. Help me out here. Thanks. |

Oh and don't forget the smell right before a tornado Jez. The one that hit Ft.Worth and Arlington about a year ago hit about half a mile away from my house. Crazy shit.
Oh, sorry I digressed, okay cool, now what about the raptor in the background?
Keep on working on this, would love to see the progression and final product. |
