Dan, that looks awesome.
I thought the skin was going to be more metallic and reflective though. In any event, very cool piece, what medium did you use for coloring? |

Thanks for the great compliments. It really helps me along as I am somewhat new to this style of 2D CG art.
This piece was created entirely in Photoshop 6. I sketched it using a Wacom tablet and colored it by hand in Photoshop using various techniques I picked up from tutorials and some techniques I created along the way. |

I think your lighting doesn't quite match, which is causing it to look like the "save the wildlife posters". The lightsource is clearly in the back, but the whale is lit from the front. Unless he is in really shallow water, there would be very little reflected light from the bottm, only diffused in the water... it still looks cool though |
