I've been working out why it is that I've had this urge to do really traditional looking artwork. It's a love/hate sort thing... seems to make sense. So, I've had a bit of an epiphany with my "traditional" landscape image... Made some modifications...
Still working on it... I thought that I wanted to move on to something new, but I think I'll stick with this for awhile... at least through the weekend. That's a long time, eh!

Thats a masterpiece sir, but one thing that ruined this picture is that jelly shaped ball on the left of the picture, what is that? |

I can only surmise what it is, but I do have a pretty good handle on why it's there.
That must sound a bit contradictory. Imagery that tends to promote a gentle instabilty is what I kind'a have an afinity for. Not real - IN YO' FACE STUFF - just a gentle nudge toward those things that go bump in the night.

Is it soposed to be something in the eye of the viewer? Like all that stuff you see if you think about how your eyes are working but normaly your brain doesn't show you? |

Wow... I'm so surprised that the "oval thing" is not well liked. I love it!
It's not supposed to be a UFO of SF thing... it's more a cojoining of spiritual things... angelic forces... whatever happens as the sun rises and spreads light through the forest.
Yuck... that all sounds so blah... which is probably why the picture does a better job of describing it.
Oh well... I'm going to continue with this sort of image. Starting a new image today...

I have to say the oval didn't work for me either. I thought it was a badly rendered lens flare, actually. Otherwise, I really love the rest of the piece! |

Yo fleabrain!
love the pic =D
I can agree that the energy field might stand
out a lil though.
if it's not too late you might try to make it
more transparent or blended against the trees.
waytogo!!

Very nice work fleab!
I have to say the only thing that bothers me a bit (and no, its not the orange glow) its one of the reflections from the trees on the right side..looks a bit -off- not sure.
other than that, very nice work as always man |

I love this image, especially the lighting. My opinion on the oval light: I don't like it, tho that shouldn't really matter since you didn't draw that picture to please us. If you like then stick with it.
I love how you have rendered the grass and reflections.
Excellent. |
