I've been painting my friends, drawing them, and not sleeping. Here are some of the better no-reference pencil stuff.
I'm this close to asking random people to pose for me on the park.









Any features that suck in several of the pics (compared to the overall quality ;)?

Uh oh.. someone has been practicing. You improve so rapidly Gecko! Yeez!

When you want to improve your skills, you really go at it full-force. I still have wet dreams about those gas-mask characters you and Janne battled out.. sigh, the memories..

hmmm I don't know
if you wanted draw ''real''
faces or caricature.?
the third one looks pretty much like a caricature or a comic face
the others are just a bit deformed(-->for purpose?)

me likes the lifedrawings better
they have a very nice stroke (proper english?)
although I think some of the shadings
don't look very convincing
they seem like you drew them properly and as the model moved you improvised(?)
maybe it's me

that's the best i can do right now, without using reference. I didn't intend them to be deformed :P
as for the funny shading, my penciling sucks :)

frostedflame: thanks. I try to put all my vacation to this, so far it has worked.

and the gasmask thread.. that rocked ;)
