I've been doing a lot of studies recently - mostly portraits. these ones probably won't evolve into something more finished, they just been usefull to learn a few things . some image really lack any form of construction, but hey,...studies
crits and comments welcome

Studies?? Go away!
Darn my selfconfidence went down the shoes...

Only one thing, and that's the brighter colors on top of darker..Some fields are floating above...and that's totally ok in the last image..the shirt looks more dynamic and blowing in the air like...in the gray image it's more of a style and I don't think it works in his face.(just humble thoughts)

amazing work, personally due to me being an action freak, the trenchcoat in #2 makes me love it, but the face (and wonderful figure) on the last one are amazing, you are great at this!

Good lord and those are just studies?
Back to the drawing board with me.
Great work, love the face on the last one.
BTW kick ass artwork on your site. The samurai concepts are awesome.

thanks for the comments all
strange that most people seem to like the last one ( pretty girl syndrome? )I've been hesitating a lot posting that one. not my fav from far. good to learn it finally works.

ime: they're from photos I take around . time ? around a couple of hours. last, one more than the others (more finish on the face. )
lofta: actually the Blacknwhite one was a colored one, I just made the move to blackwhite at the last minute without retouching it. still like it that way.
Munky : not sure to understand what you want - 300 dpi, maybe 3000/2000, don't really know .
Vgta: thks for the concept remarks...never used ;-( and anyway,I was putting to much details ( on these very ones )for the time - would have been impossible to do them in realtime then.
thanks!

I like the second one, it looks interesting and I'm kinda fond of grayscale images.
The last one is also cool bacause it has good skintone values and such, and it's a pretty girl

The reds annoy me. I'm not sure if red is the best choice for a background. Orange works pretty good tho.
Ive noticed that red is slightly displaced on my monitor, kinda odd...
