hahaha...people just go overboard with those things...I agree, not having signature images is nice, less space taken up vertically on the page to scroll through.

Frost/Panda: Amen. Though I have seen a few users stick the /img tag at the end of every post they make just so they can have their pretty signature, it was kept in tasteful sizes. But, can you imagine signatures in big threads like the portrait one that's in Gallery, (or Fred's cubetorial, Frost?). My modem would cry.

you think that's bad? Just a while ago I visited (briefly, I assure you) a board where the rule seemed to be "Thou shalt display as thy signature an image of no less that 500 pixels of height or be banished to hell for eternity!"

i think that 100widex20high sigs are OK... when you get bigger than that it kills the page.

my sig on other forums. the color matches there and its on a rotating CGI script so there are 10 possible quotes that can pop up when you open the page.
