I like the modeling and texturing a lot. I think you could make the pic much cooler with a bit more dramtic lighting. People always seem to underestimate the value of taking a long time lighting their 3d scenes. |

Yes Very BAD ASS. I like that cheak/Jaw area. Lighting could use some help too. Maybe play with specularity maps.
Keep em coming! :? |

The one thing that usually strikes me in lip sync test animations is that the characters rarely close their mouths completely. This is something that bugged me a bit in yours. When the character isna't talking but has his mouth open, it makes him look kind of like a dullard, like he's just kind of dumb and absent minded. Also, there are parts where he moves his eyebrows and his cheeks for no apparent reason as though he's got a nervous twitch kind of. But you've got a good starting point for a lip synch animation, if you work on really tightening it up it'll be pretty good. What really helps is to have a mirror next to your computer and just watch yourself saying the lines. Just watch yourself like 100 times then make changes then watch yourself again like 100 times then make changes, etc. |

it's very cool, even the textures give a good impact. The only thing that leaves me a bit cold is the light(s) you used... I think they flatten a bit the model.
Only one other thing: the horn bases are too... regular.
except this, really a bad-ass demon 8)
bye

Yeah that's very cool, I can't understand wtf the demon is saying but the animation and model are wonderful. Only crit I have is that the movements on his cheeks look a bit wrong, maybe they should be more sublte. But still it's damn good. |

Thanks for the remarks,
Since I had no exact emotion or idea to play, I just tinkered with different facial movements, tried everything, I think that a definite reason for an expression would result in something more believe able.

The figure looks alright but I have to say his placement really cheapens us all. He looks like he's pissed because he has outgrown his tiny apartment and he lacks good references to try finding a new place. |
