just some renders of a character i started modelling. sorta new to 3d, and she's sorta my first main "project" to work on. she still needs some parts here and there, but they'll be finished soon (she especially needs new hair). The close up render was to test out an endomorph, and the other one was to see the results i could get applying lighting through radiosity instead of lighting. i hope to be improving this model a whole deal more in the future. i'd love to hear u'r comments. thx

Looks good but there are some things that can be improved upon.
Dunno how picky ya want me to get so ill just go all out.
nice job texture wise cept for a few small things. There is some texture stretching in some area's around the sides of the nostrils, in between the lower lip and her chin.
I like her eyes, but the ring around the iris is a little too blurry, and the eye doesnt appear to have depth to it. anyways the eye looks cool
Eyelashes and better construction of the eye like the tear duct would add to the realism.
The texture on the lips seems a little large, more detail, and smaller creases would i think add to the quality of the texture.
The lipstick around her moth seems a little off as far as mapping goes.
The bridge on her nose seems a little too wide and pronounced for my taste but its not necesarrily wrong.
the nostrils on her nose i would have made more symmetrical and added a shade of redness on the nose.
i also would have smoothed outh the corners of her mouth.
thats about all i noticed.
nice job

For the most part this looks great! I like the uneveness of the nose, and the detail of the texture maps as well as the uneveness of the lips (particularly the upper lip).
And your proportions are great too.
I do second the crit that you need to add the tear duct, but that is only half of the complete plane that seperates the eyball from the side of the nose. Also the lines above the eyes I believe would have worked better on her forhead. You could add one or two long ones just above the eye-lides, but I wouldn't over do it. As mentioned before, the corners of the mouth need a little more tweeking. I could offer suggestions if I saw the wireframe, but I get the feeling that you know enough to know how to fix it without my help.
Well, keep at it. It looks really good. |
