I did some orc-sketches. And I want to know what you think about em. Maybe you could also suggest things I could add to their equippment/anatomy or things I should remove.

BTW: What pants do Orcs use? Do they use pants at all?

[edit] I got some webspace from an ally. I hope it works now[/edit]

If all else fails, drag the address into the address bar.

I can give you some ideas.

Orcs are usually big brutes, he's too skinny in my opinion.

Orcs in general are also usually war freaks, so he needs some armour/sheild and maybe some furs over him.

As for weapons, try a war hammer or a club etc...

As and all over painting it's coming along rather well tho, regardless of what he is.

Thanks. At least you've seen one of those picture. Thanks a lot for your suggestion. And the skinny one was intended to be a shaman.

They both should work now

Hey s4sb,

I like your skinny orc - runt of the litter? One thing though, his arm furthest away from us looks bigger than the one closest to us.

Of your penciled orcs, the profile of the one nearest is my favourite. It has the most expression of all of them.

Radiater.

Hi there..

Well it looks like you've captured the type of Orc face I most like to draw as well...small nose, large upper mouth area, protruding tusks..it's kind of funny to see a skinny orc, but I'd make him look more obviously like a Shaman. I like your painting too...cool...the drawings I think tend to look more human than not.

Most orcs are big and brutish, with lo tech battle weapons..lots of wood and bone, with wrappings and such. Of course, the type of Orc I draw is the Warcraft style Orc.

Hey nice.. I love the little skulls they are awesome.

You need some more hue variation in the painted one.. As it stands it is fairly well rendered, but it could be better, by bringing the orc to life with a more natural loking skin.. and natural skin on humans or any other animal (yes animal humans) has hue variation, where more blood accumulates, or less, or where they have been exposed to sun, wear and tear.. etc.

I would suggest ading some red or purple, maybe a bit of bluw, something along those lines.. just bits of it, some sublte variations in areas...

Hey, thanks everybody!

Donk: I love Warcraft. Even more than Tolkien I think. Especially after I seen the newest video from the E3. The design is cool. I like the orcs as a raging horde waging war against the humans. Here's the url to the video for those who haven't seen it now: http://www.warcraftiii.net/cgi-bin/download/quickdl.cgi?fl=http: //itchy.iomart.com/movies/warcraft3e3-2001.zip
and a mirror in europe: http://brutus.fragland.net/warcraft3-e3-2001.zip

Radiater: Thanks.

NukleoN: Thanks.. I tried to change that on my new drawings.

Collosimo: Thanks! I'm going to colour one of these new ones later. And I'll try to make him more life-like
