http://www.alyudesign.com/scifi18.html

Just finished another Military Space Station. Originally I was going to use this drawing only as the background for a spacecraft. But got carried away with the space station details and decided not to cover up any part of the station. I will paint another background for the spaceship tomorrow.

All elements hand drawn and put together in Photoshop.

I really really really really really really really like this! Exept for one thing, its too colorful. Military related things are usually not very colorful, they're usually designed to be camoflaged, example, M-1 tank in the desert is usually dark yellow, green when in forest.......etc

hope it helps

Excellent work. You have technical drawing wired. By itself, there is enough to keep the eye moving around the piece for a long time, trying to take it all in.

critique:
It is hard to grasp what is going on. The dark mass behind the station seems ominous, like the objects are going to collide. Maybe it's just the cropping, but it's hard to get a sense of 'space' which leaves me with a feeling of claustrophobia. You definitely fill up your scenes.

You have great skill, and judging by your website, you've used it extensively.

Thanks for the comments and crits!

dr.bang- I will try desaturating some colors to see if it will look better.

Drimmen- I was first planning to use this image only as a background to an approaching spaceship then decided not to add the spaceship. Maybe I should add the spaceship as planned so the tight cropping make more sense.

Lukias- I removed most of the buttons on the page. Hope it looks better.
